Shimano FX XT Spinning Rod Moderate Fast 2.10m 7–21g

The Shimano FX XT Spinning Rod Moderate Fast 2.10m 7–21g is an affordable starting point for young anglers and anyone new to spinning. Combining a tough composite blank with forgiving handling, it is designed to make those first fishing sessions approachable and enjoyable.

A practical first spinning rod

This 2.10m model has a 7–21g casting range for presentations within that rating. Its moderate-fast action and forgiving flex help new anglers build confidence with casting and playing fish. The robust composite construction is designed to cope with the knocks and scrapes that can come with learning to handle fishing tackle.

From practising a first cast to working a presentation through the water, the FX XT offers straightforward performance without a large initial investment. Its carbon-grey blank and gold logo coordinate with the Shimano FX Spinning reel, making it a practical choice when putting together a first matching setup.

Comfortable grip and reliable fittings

Shimano Hardlite guides accommodate both monofilament and braided mainlines. An easy-to-hold EVA handle provides a comfortable grip, while the reliable DPS reel seat holds your reel securely. It is also a thoughtful gift for someone beginning their angling journey.
