This 16cm, 56g model was developed in response to requests from experienced pike anglers for a slow-rising, low-floating presentation with carefully controlled buoyancy.

Pause during the retrieve and the Platypus will hang before slowly rising through the water. This vulnerable, lingering movement can be exceptionally persuasive when large predators are following cautiously or refusing faster presentations.

Key features

16cm length and 56g weight

Slow-rising, low-floating design

Carefully balanced buoyancy

Hangs and rises slowly when paused

Effective at both very slow and high retrieve speeds

Developed for large, wary pike

Allan Christiansen created 32 prototypes and spent countless hours testing and adjusting the design to achieve its distinctive action and swimming pattern.
